In many of our projects, construction oversight is not optional—it’s essential. Limited contractor experience with site preparation, soil composition, and native or non-commercial plant species often leads to substitutions that compromise long-term performance. We engage in design-build to ensure that landscape installations are carried out with accuracy, care, and ecological intent. Whether directing an Owner-hired crew or remaining on site during critical phases, we translate design into built form through hands-on coordination, training, and material control. Each project benefits from continuity between concept and execution, where thoughtful planning is matched by precise implementation. Moreover, to succeed over time, we believe the designer should remain engaged in the project’s evolution. Decisions don’t end with the design phase—they continue through installation and into the life performance of the landscape itself. Engaging in post-construction collaboration with the owner and maintenance crew allows for thoughtful adjustments as conditions shift and new opportunities emerge.
