PRINCE RUPERT COVE
ST. THOMAS, VIRGIN ISLANDS

We provided landscape design services for a large property with multiple buildings, guiding its transition from an energy-consuming to an energy-producing site. Our work included site development concepts to unify several undeveloped waterfront parcels into a single amenity project facing the beach. Design and design-build interventions introduced native species after the removal of invasive plants, integrated green stormwater systems, and established a nursery with a large composting operation to recycle landscape clippings into organic soil amendments. This shift replaced chemical fertilizers—previously polluting the cove’s waters—with sustainable, on-site soil production. To ensure long-term stewardship, we also prepared a comprehensive illustrated landscape management book to guide sustainable maintenance practices across the property.
